September 6, 2004: Frat Boys, Gay Boys, Pool Boys, and Karaoke - Part 2.

I woke up on a Sunday afternoon to a disturbing sound of snoring and my phone ringing. Not knowing where I was I was afraid of answering it. I peaked over at the sound of snoring and to my relief it was Darren and looking around I found myself in his room. The sweet guy let me pass out on his bed while he took the floor. I woke him, asked him if he wanted to get back into his own bed, and asked if he had fun.

He told me that I was fun to hang out with and everybody thought I was funny. They enjoyed the company of Shawna; maybe a little too much. He told me that this one guy was trying to lead me into his room and the ever brave Darren rescued me while dragging my drunk-ass into his room to lock me in. I felt obliged. I checked my messages and found out that Joe reminded me of David’s pool party and wanted to go. I said yes and told Darren I have to go.

Feeling pretty tired I got a hold of Joe and was heading toward the pool party and when I got there I didn’t remember where it was. I tried calling Joe but he didn’t answer his phone. After a few calls and I almost went to the wrong house which later I found out had an electric fence. I was frustrated, tired and angry that no one was picking up their phone. I was about to give up until I heard some music. Hurrah, I found it and the instance I saw Joe I threw down my bag and I yelled at him. After I got my frustrations out I forgave him. I realized we were fighting like an old married couple.

The party was awesome. There was beer, mixed drinks, cake (Mmm), chips-n-salsa, pool boys and Wishbone chicken in a box. The hunky Richard was non-flashing his camera and I was lounging around by the pool like a diva. I never go into the water because I am afraid of the water. I almost drowned when I was a child but some how someone convinced me to get in. I was okay but I think that will be only the time.

After we got our feet wet we headed off to gay karaoke. I always arrive to karaoke on time (4:30 pm) but because I was wet like a drowned rat I had to take sometime to dry. I had to change into a darker shirt because my wet bra could be seen through my white shirt and I think that would be tacky. Fourth Avenue had a free show by Joe’s car. I only got to sing one song which made me sad but hey I had a crazy day.
